You may have a divorce certificate, a court judgment, a decree, or several related records. Send the document you plan to submit and tell us what the receiving organization has asked for. We review the actual pages before confirming the translation.

A short certificate and a longer judgment can contain different information. If you have been asked for a complete court decision, include all pages of that decision rather than only its first page or a summary.

Keep the pages and attachments in order

Include the page containing the judge’s or official’s signature, any seals, and any attached certification. Preserve the order of numbered pages. If the record refers to an attachment that you also need translated, send it with the main document.

Tell us if a page is missing or a section is difficult to read. A clearer scan may resolve a faint stamp or handwritten note; we will discuss any remaining limitation before completing the work.

Names, dates, and case references

Check that the names of both parties, dates, and case or registration numbers are visible in the copy. Share known English name spellings from related documents so we can review consistency without changing what the source says.

For an Arabic record, include any separate registration or certification page. For Spanish, French, and Portuguese records, keep margin notes and later endorsements in the scan. A Haitian record should be reviewed for French or Haitian Creole text based on its actual contents.
