Tell us where your document came from

When you send a Portuguese document, include the country of issue and explain where the English version will be used. That context helps us review the wording, document format, and any instructions that apply to your request.

You may need a birth certificate, marriage record, divorce document, diploma, transcript, or other supporting paper translated. If several pages form one record, send them together so we can confirm the full page count before quoting the work.

Keep names, notes, and attachments together

Long names and multiple surnames can be shortened on some records and written in full on others. Tell us about any differences you already know of, and share the spelling used on a related passport or English-language document. We preserve the information in the source rather than making an unexplained correction.

Include accents, handwritten entries, stamps, and notes printed along the edges of the page. If a document has a verification page or attached certification, send it too and explain whether it is part of the material you need translated.

Choose delivery around your deadline

Send the receiving organization's instructions when requesting a certified translation. We confirm timing after reviewing the pages, so tell us early if you have an appointment or submission date to meet.

You can handle the request through our nationwide online service and receive a scanned signed copy. Contact us separately to arrange a Columbus handoff if you need the original certification statement bearing the wet-ink signature.
