Let us see the language on your document
Send a readable copy of your Amharic document and explain what you need the English translation for. If you are unsure of the language, tell us that too. We review the actual text; the country where a document was issued does not identify every language that may appear on it.
Requests may include birth and marriage certificates, divorce records, identity papers, school documents, and other family records. Include all related pages, seals, and handwritten additions so we can review the scope before you order.
Keep dates and name spellings clear
If a date uses a calendar or format that needs explanation, point it out when you send the record. The source date must remain clear, and any explanatory note should be distinguishable from the original text. We discuss questions about dates before preparing the final translation.
Names may already have an English spelling on a passport or another record. Share that spelling for reference, along with any difference you want us to review. A translation reflects the document; it does not add missing facts or repair the original record.
Receive the copy that fits your request
Tell us your deadline and share instructions from the organization receiving the translation. Our certified service includes a certification statement signed in wet ink. We confirm the page count and completion time after reviewing the document.
You can receive a scanned signed copy through our online service. For the original paper certification, contact us to agree on a Columbus handoff, including its location and time.
Questions about your document
My record contains more than Amharic. What should I do?
Send the complete record and identify any other language if you know it. We review each section and confirm the language support needed before accepting the order.
The date on my record needs an explanation. Should I change it on the scan?
No. Send an unaltered copy and explain your question separately. We need to preserve what the source says and clearly distinguish any agreed explanatory note.
Can you translate an older document with faded writing?
Send the clearest copy available for review. We may request additional photographs or explain that some text cannot be read. Missing words or facts will not be invented.
