Start with the characters on the page
Tell us whether your document uses simplified or traditional Chinese, if you know. If you are unsure, send a clear image and the country or region where the document was issued. We review the text before confirming the right support for your request.
You can ask about birth and marriage records, household or family records, identity documents, diplomas, and transcripts. Include every page that belongs to the record, even when some sections are already printed in English.
Stamps and name spellings matter too
A page may include printed characters, handwriting, seals, and short notes in different places. A full-resolution scan helps us read those details without losing the smaller text. Please avoid screenshots of screenshots or images with glare across a seal.
Share any established English spelling of a person's name, especially when it appears on a passport or another document submitted with the translation. We compare that information with the source and ask about differences that need clarification. Names and dates are not silently changed to make two records match.
Plan around your document's destination
A school, employer, or other receiving organization may provide instructions for translated records. Send those instructions with your document so we can discuss the format before work starts. Our certified service includes a certification statement with a wet-ink signature.
Written translation can be arranged online from anywhere in the United States. If you need the original signed paper copy in Columbus, contact us to arrange the handoff.

Do you need to know whether the text is simplified or traditional Chinese?
It helps if you know, but you do not need to identify it yourself. Send a readable copy so we can review the characters and confirm support for the document.
Part of my certificate is already in English. Should I include it?
Yes. Send the entire certificate, including the English sections, seals, and attached pages. We need the complete record to understand what is being translated.
Can you work from a scan with a faint seal?
Send the best copy you have for review. We may need a sharper scan or another photograph if the seal cannot be read; we cannot guess missing text.
